Your new LinkedIn banner, headline and Featured

Five options, each a different layout. Pick one number and use that option's banner, headline and Featured tile together. Every option sends people to your free Exit Readiness Assessment with the keyword “SCORE”. It's already live at exit.fenwickpartners.co, it's 12 questions, and it ends with a button to book a call with you. Each banner is shown at real phone size too, so you can see it reads.

Your plan
  • Who: Business Owners who plan to sell in the next 1-5 years and have never had a real number.
  • The workshop: "What a Buyer Will Find", a small 60-minute Zoom, built on two real valuations you've run.
  • Your profile does the first step: the banner, headline and Featured send people to your free Exit Readiness Assessment ("SCORE"). The workshop is the step after that, then the $1,999 Diagnostic.
  • The DM and the invites: use the one-shot DM for anyone who likes, comments or connects. Send the workshop invites below to the owners on your target list.

How to put it live

  5. Reply to every “SCORE” with the link, then the DM below.

The one-shot DM

Send it to anyone who likes or comments on your posts, or who's just connected. Swap the highlighted bits for each person.

Hey [FIRST NAME], I'm about to head out the door to [pick up the boys], so I wanted to send this before I forget.

I saw you [liked / commented on] my post about [TOPIC] (or: thanks for connecting!), so I wanted to properly introduce myself.

I'm Brett. I run Fenwick Partners. I'm an Operating Partner, not a broker or a banker. I help Business Owners find out what a buyer will find in their business, and fix it before they sell.

I looked at your profile and your website, and you reminded me of [CLIENT NAME], who I was just on a call with.

[He/She] [RESULT].

It works because we look at your business the way a buyer's diligence team does. We connect to QuickBooks, match the books to the bank statements and tax returns, and compare your multiple to real closed deals in 285 industries.

It's taken me 25 years as an operator, and 300+ businesses analyzed, to dial this in.

Right now we've got an offer where [THE OFFER].

As you can imagine, the "5x EBITDA" rule of thumb isn't a big fan of us haha.

Anyway, I really gotta go or the boys will be late for [ACTIVITY].

Happy to walk you through how it works. I've got [TIME 1] or [TIME 2] free tomorrow?

If not, no biggie. Happy to just send you my free Exit Readiness Assessment instead. It's 12 questions and gives you a score out of 48.

Nice to meet you!

Cheers,
Brett

Invite them to a workshop

See your business the way a buyer's diligence team will, before one shows up.

The workshop

What a Buyer Will Find

Zoom · 60 minutes · a small room of [SEATS] Business Owners · {Day + date}

  • Concentration: what happens to your multiple when a few clients are most of your revenue
  • Transferability: could the business run for six months without you?
  • Your real number: comps from companies that actually sold, not the "5x EBITDA" rule of thumb

Why this workshop: Two real valuations from your own posts. The food manufacturer whose revenue was up 18% but whose multiple dropped, because his three biggest accounts were 61% of revenue. And the 30-year logistics business that was told for years it would get 5x EBITDA, and was worth almost nothing. If you have an owner who fixed it and then sold for more, lead with that instead.

If you've chatted with them before, open with: "Hey {First name}, I remember we were chatting about [X] at [WHERE]." Then the rest. Swap the highlighted bits for each person. Anything in {curly brackets} fills in automatically.

Message 1: the invite (pick the version for who they are)

Version A · Manufacturers and plant owners

Send to: owners of food, beverage and manufacturing businesses, especially ones growing volume with a few big customers.

Hey {First name}, I know this is a bit random.

I'm hosting a small workshop on Zoom for manufacturing Business Owners on {Day + date}, walking through how a food manufacturer grew revenue 18% and still watched his multiple drop.

Would you like to come?

Version B · Logistics and service businesses

Send to: owners of logistics, trucking, distribution and service businesses with a small team, family in the business, or one big client.

Hey {First name}, I know this is a bit random.

I'm hosting a small workshop on Zoom for Business Owners on {Day + date}, walking through why a 30-year logistics business that was told it would get 5x EBITDA turned out to be worth almost nothing to a buyer.

Would you like to come?

Version C · Any owner thinking about selling

Send to: anyone else on your list who is 45+ and has owned the business for 10+ years.

Hey {First name}, I know this is a bit random.

I'm hosting a small workshop on Zoom for Business Owners planning to sell in the next few years, on {Day + date}, walking through what a buyer's diligence team will find in your business, from 300+ businesses I've analyzed.

Would you like to come?

Make it personal (one line, then the invite)

Ways in, with an example of each

Add ONE of these before "I'm hosting…". Only use what's true for that person.

Their company: "I saw {Company} just [added a second shift / opened a second location / landed a big new account]."

Their role: "As the [second-generation owner / founder] of {Company}, I thought this might be useful."

A past chat: "I remember we were chatting about [your exit timeline] at [the Chamber breakfast]."

Their recent post: "I saw your post about [your 25th year in business]. Congrats."

Filled-in example (EXAMPLE ONLY, not a real person)

An example to show the shape. "Dave" is made up: a second-generation owner of a snack-food plant.

Hey Dave, I know this is a bit random.

I saw you just added a second shift at the plant. Congrats.

I'm hosting a small workshop on Zoom for manufacturing Business Owners on Thursday the 22nd, walking through how a food manufacturer grew revenue 18% and still watched his multiple drop.

2. Follow-up (2 days later)

Pick the problem that fits them: (a) a few customers are most of the revenue, (b) the business can't run for six months without the owner, (c) they've been told a multiple for years but never had a real number.

Hey {First name}, I was chatting to [WHO, e.g. a plant owner who's planning to sell in 2028] who's stuck on [PROBLEM, e.g. three customers making up most of his revenue], and it reminded me to reach back out.

Keen to come?

3. Hail Mary (3 days after that)

Hey {First name}, I swear this is my last message haha.

It'll be a small room of [SEATS] Business Owners on {Day + date}, and we'll go deep on what happens to your multiple when a few clients are most of your revenue.

If you'd like a seat, you can book here: [LINK]

Once I see you've booked, I'll give you a quick call to hear what you'd most like to get out of it and run you through who else is in the room.

And if you're snowed under, just let me know and I'll reach out for the next one.

When they say yes

Awesome, we'd love to have you there! Here's the link: [LINK]

Do you have 5 minutes at [TIME] or [TIME] today? I'd love to run you through who else is coming.

Subject: Last one from me

Hi {First name},

I swear this is my last email about it.

It'll be a small room of [SEATS] Business Owners on {Day + date}, and we'll go deep on what happens to your multiple when a few clients are most of your revenue.

If you'd like a seat, you can book here: [LINK]

What goes in each gap

  • {Day + date}, [SEATS], [LINK]: not set yet. Pick a date, a seat count (we'd suggest 12) and a booking link (your Calendly works).
  • [WHO] / [PROBLEM]: someone real you've spoken to recently, described by role, never by name.
  • The case lines are from your posts of 2 Sep 2026 (food manufacturer, 61%) and 12 Aug 2026 (logistics, 5x EBITDA). Keep them as written.
  • [TIME]: two real slots today, in their time zone.

Before it goes live

  • The keyword: every option now uses “SCORE” and your free Exit Readiness Assessment, because it's the only free tool that ends with a booked call. If you'd rather send The Key Man Fix, tell us and we'll swap the keyword and tiles.
  • One price anchor: your headline says advisors charge $35K–$100K for this, and your website says $43k–$100k+. Pick one. The kit leaves both numbers out until you do.
  • One size range: your guides say $3M–$50M businesses and the assessment says $5M–$50M. The kit says “founder-run businesses” until you pick.
  • A real client result for the DM: fill the two highlighted lines with a real owner's result, or cut them.
  • Photo credits: options 2 and 4 use licensed plant photos with the credit in the corner. Leave the credit on.
